New Future Program

New Future Program

  • Establishing one on one support to former inmates by giving them a plan that is very specific to their needs, talents and personality. One of the factors of our success.  When they were in prison, they were all treated the same.  Our approach gives them back the uniqueness of their individual lives.
  • The key factor in determining the specific plan for each former inmate is teaching them to discover their need for a personal relationship with God and how this helps them in their everyday decisions.  Scheduled weekly church services geared toward the former inmates’ needs as well as other programs and Bible studies.
  • Establish a strong network of support involving local businesses and organizations.  Working with local businesses to provide jobs to former inmates through an established relationship with CMI.
  • Collaboration with other organizations that can provide transitional housing for inmates that have just been released from prison.
  • CMI will provide clothing and food for former inmates for a period of time while they are getting re-established.
  • Launch a series of fundraising activities that will successfully fund the expansion of CMI programs.
  • Work toward making all former inmates self-sufficient and a viable part of society.
  • Providing guidance for the mental aspect of being free from prison.  Teaching them to make good decisions about everyday life. The transition from having their decisions made for them to have the confidence to make their own decisions.
  • Working with local business owners to teach life skills such as job interviews, dressing for success and workplace etiquette. Effective training programs that will increase their ability to re-enter mainstream of society.
  • Through Toastmasters International each former inmate will be taught leadership and communication skills.
